NGA-VT Scholarship Application Criteria
- The National Guard Association of Vermont Scholarship(s) is/are awarded to a current member of the Vermont National Guard, or an unmarried son or daughter of a current member of the VTNG, or a spouse of a current member of the VTNG who has clearly distinguished himself or herself by a demonstrated commitment to selfless public service.
- Public service is defined as selfless service and/or leadership in social, secular historical, environmental, youth, patriotic, or peer group organizations, and/or a clearly demonstrated intent to pursue this path after graduation.
- Selfless is defined as dedication to the goals of the organization(s) where public service is or will be performed, without consideration for personal or professional accolades or enhancement.
- As part of the application, applicants will provide details of their selfless public service or plan for pursuing it in the future. The NGA-VT Scholarship Committee will review all applications and make recommendations to the NGA-VT President.
